A Log Home Evaluation is not a Home Inspection

and it is not a Code Inspection.

Log Homes are not specifically covered by most building codes. In some areas there is not even a building code in effect.

A typical Home Inspection covers the structure, the appliances etc.

If you look for a Home Inspector, I recommend a certified Nachi Home Inspector. You can locate one in your area under www.nachi.org

A Log Home Evaluation does not include inspection of appliances, floor coverings, kitchen cabinets etc.

With a Log Home Evaluation we are more interested in the specific components of a Log Home. We will point out problems and hopefully we can make recommendations regarding how to correct them.

We are the experts for Log Homes. We provide you with a third party opinion which is based on our knowledge and experience.

Again, a Log Home Evaluation is not a Home Inspection. We evaluate many things that are not included in a typical Home Inspection.

Some findings need further investigation.

Sometimes we have to refer to a structural engineer, a licensed electrician etc.

You should follow those recommendations to make sure that your Log Home is OK.

We make Log Home Evaluations year round.

In areas with heavy snowfall the best time would be between spring and  fall.

I'm sure you have some specific questions or concerns about your Log Home or about the Log Home you want to buy.

This is ok. Go ahead and ask. If we don't know the answer, we'll find out for you. The result of our evaluation is written in easy to understand format and recommendations.

Now you have the knowledge to prevent costly mistakes and expenses.

Enjoy your dream home for a long time.
